C.B. Stubblefield, better known as Stubb, founded his now-famous barbecue dynasty on East Broadway in my hometown Lubbock Texas. Stubb was more than a cook, he was a spiritual inspiration to most all who knew him. This acrylic painting is based a photo from a roadtrip Stubb took with famed artist Paul Milosevich, taken on their way to Nashville to cater a meal for songwriter Tom T. Hall.
