Description
This scene in the 24 Hour Print & Copy Center is inspired by a scene from season 2 of the AMC TV series “Better Call Saul“. To my own artist’s eye, almost every single shot in this brilliant prequel to the hit series “Breaking Bad“, is a beautiful piece of artwork, and there have been many scenes from the series which I’d been inspired to paint. However, the composition and lighting of this scene particularly struck me. Why are we up on the ceiling looking down? And it turns out, without revealing any spoilers, that scene is perhaps the pivotal event of the entire story arc of the series.
A few people I know have compared some of my work to Edward Hopper, one of my favorite inspirations in fact, and this piece, with its lighting and mundane but mysterious action, obviously reflects a similar feel to Hopper’s work.
