Inspired by the Movie “4 For Texas”

I often choose to paint scenes from classic movies, particularly those set in Texas and Austin, as i believe this is in the tradition of classical mythology and history paintings. One of the more ludicrous movies ever fictionally set in Texas is “4 For Texas” (1963) directed by Robert Aldrich and starring Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Ursala Andress, and Anita Ekberg. This painting is inspired by a scene from the movie aboard a riverboat casino; when i saw this painting on the wall i burst out laughing at the cartoonishly proportioned nude woman compared to all the gentile people in their finest clothes.
I guess this also falls into the category of my “Art Inspired by Other Art” series.
